Overseer Construction, Field Supervisor Vacancy Announcement Kapilvastu Integrated Development Services (KIDS)

Kapilvastu Integrated Development Services (KIDS), a non-governmental and non-profit organization established in 2005, has been working in the fields of Health, Education, Nutrition, Climate Change, Food Security, Livelihood, and WASH across Lumbini Province. In partnership with Plan International Nepal, KIDS is implementing the Sabal Balika Sabal Samudaya (Nutrition and WASH) program in Bijay Nagar Rural Municipality, Kapilvastu.

We invite applications from qualified, accountable, and result-oriented Nepalese candidates for the following positions:

1. Overseer – Construction (1 Position)

Duty Station: KIDS Central Office, Taulihawa, Kapilvastu (with 80% field visits)

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering with valid registration
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in English & Nepali (verbal and written)
• Excellent coordination skills with government agencies and stakeholders
• Knowledge of construction scheme design, cost estimation, valuation, and reporting
• Experience in WASH/School infrastructure program execution and monitoring
• Strong teamwork attitude and ability to multitask

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct feasibility studies, surveys, design, and cost estimation for school buildings and toilets
• Supervise and ensure quality control of construction works
• Support Project Coordinator in contractor agreements
• Ensure timely completion of construction projects within scope and budget
• Provide technical support to contractors and labor teams
• Conduct frequent site visits and submit progress reports
• Coordinate with local government, schools, and stakeholders

2. Field Supervisor – WASH & Nutrition Program (1 Position)

Duty Station: Bijay Nagar Rural Municipality, Kapilvastu

Qualifications & Experience:

• HA/Staff Nurse or 10+2 with at least 2 years of experience in community mobilization (WASH/Nutrition)
• Strong interpersonal, networking, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and map target areas and groups for program outreach
• Advocate for improved WASH and Nutrition services
• Organize community events, awareness campaigns, and group sessions
• Distribute IEC/BCC and promotional materials as per project mandate
• Share success stories, good practices, and learnings with municipal stakeholders
• Prepare and submit progress reports to the Project Coordinator
