Shree Janaki Eye Hospital, announces vacancies for various positions under the Comprehensive Eye Care Program supported by the Nepal Red cross Society. Interested and eligible Nepali citizens are invited to apply within 15 days from the date of this notice.


Available Positions

1. Ophthalmologist (Eye Specialist)

  • Level/Service: 8th Level / Technical

  • Required Number: 2

  • Minimum Qualification:

    • MD or equivalent in Ophthalmology from a recognized institution

    • Registered with Nepal Medical Council

  • Job Responsibilities:

    • Provide SICS and Phaco surgeries

    • Manage OPD, IPD, and emergency eye cases

    • Perform clinical and surgical services as assigned


2. Ophthalmic Assistant

  • Level/Service: 5th Level / Technical

  • Required Number: 2

  • Minimum Qualification:

    • Diploma in Ophthalmic Science from a recognized institution

    • Registered with Nepal Health Professional Council

  • Job Responsibilities:

    • Support clinical services

    • Prepare patients and assist in diagnostic/OPD procedures

    • Perform assigned community eye health tasks


3. Eye Health Worker

  • Level/Service: 4th Level / Technical

  • Required Number: Few

  • Minimum Qualification:

    • Eye Health Worker/Community Medical Assistant training from a recognized institution

  • Job Responsibilities:

    • Assist in primary eye care, screenings, and outreach programs

    • Conduct door-to-door community awareness activities

    • Support hospital services as required

  • Shortlisting, written test, practical test, and interview (as applicable)
